POONCH, June 4: District Hockey Championship held at Boys High Secondary School, Poonch was organised by Hockey J&K here today.
The clash between BSB Hockey Club Poonch and Poonch Legends culminated with a victory for BSB Club, sealing their triumph with a 3-1 score. Prem Parkash Luthra, Retired DYSSO, graced the occasion as the chief guest; while a veteran Hockey player Dalip Kumar adorned the event as the guest of honour.
Parvinder Singh, Ex-Councillor, added to the grandeur as today’s special guest. Among the distinguished attendees were Onkar Singh, Manmohan Singh, Raj Kumar, Bhupinder Kumar, Kewal Krishan, Gaurav Sharma, Jasmeet Singh and Sanjay Mishri who were accompanied by a massive crowd of enthusiasts.
The technical panel, featuring Matinder Pal Singh, Ritika Sharma and Ranveet Singh, ensured the smooth flow of the tournament. The meticulous organization of the event falls under the astute guidance of Matinder Pal Singh, an NIS Hockey Coach from the Youth Services and Sports Department & Parvinder Singh (Organising Secretary).
