District Police Kargil Taekwondo Championship concludes

KARGIL, Dec 30: Arezuna School of Taekwondo won the overall trophy of District Police Taekwondo Championship and Atul International Taekwondo Club remained as the overall runner-up.
Around 100 students from more than 5 Taekwondo Clubs of the District Participated in the Tournament.
Executive Councilors Rural Development LAHDC Kargil Aga Syed Abass Razvi who was the chief guest on the closing ceremony of District Police Taekwondo Championship 2015, said sports and games are one of the prime medium to develop a healthy society and nowadays sports are opted as a profession rather than a second option.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner, Kargil, Kacho Hassan Khan was the guest of honour and SSP Kargil Rahul Malik, Project Director DRDA, CEO KDA, Additional SP Kargil Jameel Ahmad, president Kargil Taekwondo Association Gulzar Hussain Munshi, Dy SP Mohammad Aslam Mir and Ishtiyaq Ahmad Kacho, Army Officers, District Officers, Kargil Taekwondo Association Officials, Players, Parents and hundreds of people were present on the occasion.
The Tournament was organized by District Police Kargil in collaboration with Kargil Taekwondo Association.
Terming Taekwondo one of the main sports which brought laurels to Kargil District, Syed Abass Razvi told that focus should be given to improve the overall development of players and for which LAHDC Kargil has approached the Sports Authority of India for opening a Center in Kargil.
Speaking on this occasion, president Kargil Taekwondo Association briefed about the achievement of the Association.
The Tournament was organized under the supervision of SSP Kargil, Rahul Malik by the organizing secretary of the event, DySP Ishtiyaq Ahmad Kacho.
