UDHAMPUR, Mar 22: District Level Inter School Tournament for Under-17 boys and girls in the discipline of Volleyball and Kho-Kho, under the Scheme RMSA got underway, at Mini Stadium here today.
Krishan Lal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Udhampur was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion chief guest congratulated the participants and organizing committee for the smooth and successful conduct of the competition.
About 150 boys and girls drawn from 12 different Schools participated in the Tournament.
The tournament is being organized in collaboration with the Chief Education Officer Udhampur under the overall supervision of Sudesh Kumar Chalotra, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Udhampur.
In Volleyball Under-17 boys, High School Chiryai defeated High School Malhar, while
High School Rown defeated Higher Secondary School Boys Udhampur.
In Kho-Kho Under-17 Girls, High School Sewna defeated Higher Secondary School Girls Udhampur and High School Malhar defeated Girls High School Udhampur.
The matches were officiated by Raj Kumar Gupta, Kuldeep Sharma, Sanjay Sharma, Naveen Sharma, Raj Kumar, Sanjay Verma, Raman Kumar, Raj Kumar Dogra, Rakesh, Amit Sharma, Kanchan Sharma and Angrez Singh.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were MM Wani, Deputy CEO Udhampur; JM Tharmatt DPEO Udhampur, Santosh Kumari ZPEO Udhampur, Kanchan, Santosh Abrol, Jyoti Rani, Poonam Sharma, Ajit Singh, Deepika Manhas, Renu Thapalo, Mulkh Raj Jaju, Rakesh Sawhney, Preetam Singh and Swarndeep Singh Tara.
