JAMMU, Apr 26: District Level Inter-School Competitions of District Jammu in the disciplines of Kick-boxing, Wushu, Taekwondo, Slumbam, Thang Ta, Squay Martial Art and Boxing Under-14 and Under-17 Boys got underway at Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, here.
In all, 300 players drawn from various Govt./ Pvt. Institutions of District Jammu are taking part in the competitions. The main objective of these competitions is to select the teams in these disciplines for the Inter-District Competitions.
The competitions are being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports District Jammu under the Chairmanship of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports, Jammu and under the overall supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu, who also declared the Competitions open in a simple and well attended function.
Those present on the occasion were Sher Singh, ZPEO Akhnoor, Anju Gupta, ZPEO Gandhi Nagar, Veena Tikoo, ZPEO Marh and BK Tickoo.
The matches were officiating by Sher Singh, Raman Sharma and Honey Mehra.
