REASI, Aug 26: District Level Inter-School Athletic Meet for U-17, 17 and 19 boys concluded here today.
In 100 meters (U-14), Nipun Mengi of TSN Reasi emerged winner, whereas Ajay Kumar of HSS Salal, Ishfaq Wani of HS Nomain and Arif Mushtaq of Amba Kids Home Panthal emerged winners in 200 meters, 400 meters and 600 meters respectively.
In U-17 category, Sohan Lal of HS Aghar Jitto, Jagdish Singh of HSS Reasi, Neeraj Singh of TSN Reasi, Vishal Singh of HS Kambal Danga and Gourav Kumar of HS Dadoa emerged winners in 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters and 1500 meters respectively.
In U-19 category, Mushkur Ahmed of HSS Panthal, Munna Kumar of HSS Katra, Chain Singh of HSS Reasi, Shrafat Ali of HSS Pouni, Ravi Kumar of HSS Reasi, Vipan Singh of HS Ransoo and Anish Kumar of HSS Reasi emerged winners in 100 meters, 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 1500 meters, 3000 meters and 5000 meters respectively.
In U-14 Shot Put, Ajay Kumar of HSS Salal emerged winner, whereas in Discuss Throw Ajay Kumar HSS Salal emerged winner, in Long Jump Mohammad Tahir of Amba Kids Home Pathal emerged winner and in High Jump Shiv Nandan of HS Nomain emerged winner.
In U-17 Shot Put, Ganesh Singh of HS Aghar Jitto emerged winner, whereas Ganesh Singh of HS Aghar Jitto, Gourav Kumar of HS Dadoa, Surjeet Singh of HS Kambal Danga and Suresh Singh of HS Nomain emerged winners in Discus Throw, Long Jump, High Jump and Javelin Throw respectively.
In U-19 category, Joginder Kumar of HSS Bharakh, Guraj Singh of HSS Bharakh, Vishal Kumar of HSS Reasi, Rajesh Singh of HSS Reasi and Pankaj of HSS Bharakh emerged winners in Shot Put, Discus Throw, Long Jump, High Jump and Javelin Throw respectively.
The events were officiated by Ashok Kumar PEM, Pardeep Nag PEM, Romesh Chander PEM, Kuldeep Raj, Tour Kumar PEM, Ashoka Kumari PEM, Saroj Bala PEM, Ajay Kumar Billa PET, Ajay Kumar, Opinder Pal Singh PET, Sanjeev Kumar PET, Asha Devi PET, Manzoor Hussain PET and Riyaz Ahmed PET.
The selected athletes will undergo training for their further participation in the State level inter-district competitions which will be held at Srinagar in the month of September.
Earlier, the meet was declared open by PD Sharma, Principal, Girls Higher Secondary School Reasi in presence of Amba Kids Home Panthal, Principal Bhartiya Vidya Mandir and large number of spectators.
The meet was organized under the supervision of Dr SS Chib, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Reasi.
