KATHUA, Sept 21: District Kathua Fencing Championship was held in Shivalik Heights Higher Secondary School Gurha Mundian Hiranagar, Kathua here today. The event was organised by Kathua District Amateur Fencing Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council and J&K Amateur Fencing. More than 150 students of 15 schools participated in the competition.
Ram Lal Kalia, BDC Chairman was the chief guest, Shraya (Tehsildar) presided over the function while guest of honour. The results of Epee event in U-17 boys are Krish Raina (Gold Medal) (Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, silver medal to Rahul Kumar (Govt. H.S. Dhanyesdar), Bronze Medal to Harvishal Verma (Govt. H.S. Gurha Mundian, Bronze Medal and Keshav Sharma (Govt. H.S.S. Kootah).
In under-17 Sabreboys, Gold Medal to Dhanjay (K.C. Public School), Silver Medal to Ansh (Shivalik Heights Hr. Sec. School), Bronze Medal to Devankur(Sacred Heart Convent School, Billawar) and Bronze Medal to Abhinav ( K.K. Vidhalya Sr. sec. School).
