JAMMU, Feb 20: District Jammu won the “16th J&K State (Juniors) Kyorugi/Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2014-15” and “6th  Open J&K State Taekwondo Championship 2014”, organized by Jammu & Kashmir Taekwondo Association at Dogra Brahmin Pratinidhi Sabha, Parade, here.
District Badgam emerged first runners-up team, while District Srinagar and District Kathua were the 2nd runners-up.
The chief guest of the closing ceremony was Navin Agarwal, Director General  Youth Services and Sports J&K, who while speaking on the occasion lavished praise on the organizers for holding this event.
Rishi Kumar, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports was the guest of honour and S M Bali, joint secretary Indian Olympic Association was the special guest.
The technical team is was headed by Brinder Singh Manhas (National Referees) and the officials included Sanjay Kumar, Rajat Thakur, Mukta Gupta, Rohit Sharma, Sunil Singh, Rajan, Zaheer Abbas Khan, Shazia Batool, Shenaz Parveen, Arvind Kumar Satti, Pankaj Kumar, Narinder Sharma and Vipan Sharma.
The Championship was organized under the chairmanship Anuj Sharma and Gurinder Singh Rakwal was the convener of the Championship.
The winners were felicitated by the chief guest Mr Agarwal and other dignitaries on the occasion.
