District Jammu Inter-Zonal Competitions conclude

JAMMU, May 16: District Level Inter-Zonal Competitions of District Jammu in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Volleyball and Wrestling for boys Under-14 and Under-17 years concluded at HSS Domana and GHS Satwari Cantt, here today.
The Competitions were organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu under the Chairmanship of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports and under the overall supervision of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Servicers and Sports Officer Jammu.
In Volleyball Under-14 boys final, Jammu Zone defeated RS Pura Zone by 2-0 sets.
Earlier, in the semifinals, RS Pura Zone drubbed Gandhi Nagar Zone by 2-0 sets and Jammu Zone beat Miran Sahib Zone by 2-0 sets.
In Volleyball Under-17 boys final, RS Pura Zone got better of Satwari Zone by 2-0 sets. In the semifinals earlier, RS Pura beat Gandhi Nagar Zone by 2-0 sets and Satwari Zone prevailed over Arnia Zone by 2-0 sets.
In Kabaddi Under-14 boys final, Miran Sahib Zone trounced RS Pura by 30-25 points, while in the semifinals RS Pura Zone outclassed Gandhi Nagar Zone by 38-26 points and Miran Sahib Zone beat Satwari Zone by 53-35 points.
In Kabaddi Under-17 boys final, Gandhi Nagar Zone beat RS Pura Zone by 42-21 points and RS Pura Zone defeated Arnia Zone by 27-16 points and Gandhi Nagar Zone beat Miran Sahib Zone by 30-15 points.
In Kho-Kho Under-14 boys final, Gandhi Nagar Zone beat Miran Sahib by 14-9 points, while in the semifinals earlier, Gandhi Nagar beat Arnia Zone by 14-7 points and Miran Sahib Zone got better of Satwari Zone by 13-12 points.
In Kho-Kho Under-17 boys final, Miran Sahib beat Jammu Zone by 5-4 points in a close contest, while in Football Under-17 boys final, Jodhamal Public School prevailed over APS Kalu Chak by 3-2 goals to win the title.
