Distict Taekwondo Championship concludes

JAMMU, Dec 21: 23rd District Jammu Taekwondo Championships-2020, organized by District Jammu Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Jammu & Kashmir Taekwondo Association (JKTA), culminated, here today.
Atul International Taekwondo Academy (AITA) and Vishal Academy of Taekwondo jointly lifted the trophy while RS Pura Taekwondo Club and Mahadev Taekwondo Club claimed 2nd and 3rd places, respectively.
The best sportsmen spirit team award went to Jammu Sanskriti School while the most active participation award was received by Academy of Unity. Narayan Sharma was declared the best male Athlete, whereas Laxmi Salaria was declared as best player in female category.
Around all Zones including 15 Clubs from District Jammu participated in this event. The championship was conducted under the supervision of DN Pangotra (president JKTA).
Rouf Ahmad Bhat (president, JKCSNGEU) was chief guest, whereas Tarun Uppal (president Nirbhay Bharat Charitable Trust) & BS Jamwal, Retd DC graced the function as guests of honour.
Arun Malhotra (Football player), Subash Shastri (president NMSC) and Vikas Gupta (general secretary J&K Judo Association/ joint secretary J&K Olympic Association) also graced the function.
Atul Pangotra along with Brinder Singh, Arvind Satti, Anchal Sharma, Rashmi Abrol, Narinder Sharma, Tarun Sharma, Shanaz Parveen, Kushagra Sharma, Achutam Dev Singh, Rahul Sharma, Bhanu Pratap Attri, Amit, Sunil Vaid and Nitish Anand were among the technical panel.
The closing ceremony was graced by some special guests including Jagjit Singh (general secretary, JKTA), Ramesh Chander Sharma, (joint secretary JKTA), VikasAbrol, Gurinder Rakwal, Zaheer Abbas Khan (treasurer JKTA), Vikas Sharma, Nazir Khan, Kapil Pangotra, Mitan Baru and Subodh Bhaseen.
