Mirpur, Mar 18:
Ignored by the IPL franchises for the upcoming T20 extravaganza, Australian Cameron White today expressed his disappointment while harbouring hopes of getting an opportunity to prove his worth at the World T20 here.
“Yeah, it was disappointing. But that’s the way it goes. Hopefully, in this tournament if I get an opportunity to do well, that would be good. There’s not much you can do about it now, is it,” White said.
After being given the cold shoulder for better part of the last six seasons, Australia’s current T20 skipper George Bailey will be leading Kings XI Punjab in IPL this time around while White, who led Sunrisers Hyderabad after Kumar Sangakkara sat out due to poor form last season, is without a team.
