12th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tourney

JAMMU, Jan 10: District Football Association (DFA) Anantnag defeated Savior Sports Football Club by five goals to four (5-4) via tie-breaker in the ongoing 12th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament, being organised by All J&K Christian Welfare Association at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
From DFA Anantnag, Dawood, Mukhtar Dar, Zahid Riyaz, Umar Bashir and Muzeer were the goal scorers, while from Savior Sports Football Club, Max, Sidhu, Mohit and Pranav netted the goals.
In another match, Hero FC got the better of Param FC by a solitary goal. Lakshit scored the goal in 25th minute for Hero Football Club.
The matches were officiated by Dheeraj Menia, Rocky, Ricky, Ajay Singh, Abhishek, Rahul, Nitika and Mohinder Kalsi.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Churchill FC will take on Arco FC Kashmir, Titan FC Anantnag will face Hero FC and Young Rovers will meet J&K Bank Academy.
The matches among others were witnessed by SM Gill, Ex MLC and President All J&K Christian Welfare Association and Sheikh Mehmood, president DFA Jammu.
