JAMMU, Jan 9: Delhi Public School Udhampur celebrated its 10th Annual Day of senior wing on the theme “Nishkrya”.
On the occasion, DIG Udhampur Reasi range Suleman Choudhary was the chief guest, while the presiding guest was DC Udhampur Ravinder Kumar and guest of honor was SSP Udhampur Rajeev Pandey. The other guest present on the occasion were Ex-MLA Udhampur Pawan Gupta and Ex-MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia and Ex-MLA Chenani Dina Nath, while the star dignitaries were Gold Medalist South Asian Games Surya Bhanu Pratap Singh, Barefoot Marathon Runner of J&K Gaurav Mahajan and RJ Shvetama from Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM. Principals of various schools from Jammu and Udhampur districts were also present.
A floral tribute was given to late Dr Lalita Gupta, the real vision behind DPS Udhampur followed by the traditional ceremony of lighting the lamp.
Dr Kunal Anand, Principal of the school presented the annual report focusing on the school’s achievements and the program was declared open by him.
A formal welcome address was presented by School Head Boy Saksham Gupta and School Head Girl Tanisha Mankotia.
On the occasion, students presented various cultural items including Dashavtar, Sufi Dance, dramas, horror dance, Shiv Tandava, etc.
Later, prize distribution ceremony was held where the students along with their parents were honored for Academic Excellence in year 2017-2018.
Pro Vice Chairman of the School Dr JC Gupta while speaking said that this year DPS Udhampur completed 10 years and these 10 years he has seen the school growing to the heights of popularity and success.
In the end, vote of thanks was given by Vice Head Girl and Vice Head Boy of the school.
