Deepak Chahar moves up 88 slots in ICC T20I Rankings

DUBAI, Nov 11:
India speedster Deepak Chahar who set a world record haul of 6/7 against Bangladesh on Sunday in the final T20 match in Nagpur has moved up 88 slots to 42nd position in the latest ICC T20 rankings for bowlers.
The top five and eight of the top nine are spinners, with Mitchell Santner reaching second place – his best position since he topped the table in January 2018 while Rashid Khan of Afghanistan remains static at no 1 spot.
Deepak Chahar’s 6/7 wicket haul put him among the first Indian with a hat-trick in the T20, taking India towards first T20 series win at home this season.
Among batters Rohit Sharma of India was among the top batsmen remaining static at no 7 while another batter KL Rahul who scored half-century on Sunday managed to jump one spot above to 8th spot.
England’s Dawid Malan has made a grand re-entry grabbing third position in the batsmen’s list led by Pakistan’s Babar Azam, while Aaron Finch of Australia has taken the second spot after gaining two positions. (Agencies)
