JAMMU, May 17: Jammu Asha Kiran Welfare Society organised a debate competition on the topic ‘Save the girl child’ in the premises of Activity Higher Secondary School, Janipur, here today.
On the occasion, the chief guest was Manohar Lal Gupta, managing director. Fifteen students of the school took part in the debate competition. Muskan Sawhney and Veerta Gupta of class X stood first and second while Taniya Gupta of class VIII stood third in the debate competition. He presented mementos and consolation prizes to the students.
Dr J P Gupta, chairman of the society also spoke on the occasion.
The members of the society including Jaswant Manhas, kamal Netar Gupta, Vinod Arora, Hari Chand Sharma and Ramesh Gupta were also present on the occasion.
General secretary of the society presented vote of thanks.
