POONCH, Oct 19: District Coaching Centre (DCC), LoC Jhalian and Manjit Club crushed rivals and entered into the next stage of the Volleyball Tournament, being organized under ‘Operation Sadbhavna’ by 93 Infantry Brigade in collaboration with district unit of Sports Council at Sports Stadium, here today.
In the first match played in girls section, DCC smashed Power House Volleyball Club by 2-0 with set score 25-19 and 25-17.
In second match in boys section, LoC Jhalian registered win over Shapur club by 2-1 with set score 25-19, 23-25 and 25-18, whereas in third match, Manjit Club defeated GBHSS Poonch by 2-1 with set score 25-20, 18-25 and 25-23.
The matches were officiated by Neeraj Sharma VFI Referee, Vijay Kumar PEM, RS Toofan PET, Ranjinder Singh PEM, Sorab Sharma PET, Ram Prakash and Mubashar Ali.
On the occasion, Sham Lal Sharma, Retd SAI Hockey Coach was the chief guest in girls’ match.
The tournament is being organised under the supervision of Nirdosh Kumar, Incharge Sports Stadium, Poonch.
