SAMBA, Feb 19:Inter-Panchayat Block Level Tournament of U/25yrs men started in Samba under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman.
The tournament was inaugurated by District Development Commissioner Samba Rohit Khajuria and Madam Sukhleen Kour Chief Planning Officer Samba who was also present during opening ceremony.
Iqbal Singh Coordinator Sports Council Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory was also present during opening ceremony.
The tournament was organized by Youth Services and Sports Department in collaboration with Sports Council J&K UT.
Thirty two teams of Cricket are going to participate in the inter Panchyat, Block Level, tournament. The teams were divided in four Zones: of Sports Stadium Samba, Sports Stadium Smailpur, Badhori Playfield ground and Dasal playfield ground Bari-Brahmana.
The 1st match was played between Super King Club Nud Samba and R.D. Club Samba.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Samba, Kiran Jyoti also organsing secretary of the tournament thanked all the dignitaries present during the opening ceremony.
The Sarpanches of different Panchayats were also present during opening ceremony . The ZPEOs of Zone Samba Raghubir Singh, overall Incharge of Venue Samba and match officials were Daljeet Singh, Sandeep Singh, Girdhari Lal .
