JAMMU, Nov 21: Daylong Jammu District junior and cadet Judo Championship concluded at New Indoor Complex Bhagwati Nagar, here today.
About 100 Judokas from all over the district participated in the championship. The championship was organized by Judo Association Jammu and Kashmir under the aegis of J&K Sports Council.
The winners were honoured with medals and certificates. The bouts were officiated by the chief coach Suraj Bhan Singh, Ritika Slathia and Rameshwar Singh Jamwal.
The prominent among others present on the occasion were Vikas Gupta, senior vice president, Suraj Sharma, honorary general secretary, Bhanu Partap chairman selection committee, Rajesh Verma, Yogesh Sareen, while Manish Chatwal was the organizing secretary.
In girls 44 kg: Nikita-1st, Akshane Gupta-2nd and Mamta Malik & Taniya-3rd, while in 48 kg: Khushi Thakur-1st, Palvi Choudhary-2nd and Paya Kashyap & Maya-3rd, in 52kg, Palak Sharma-1st, Sunakshi Devi-2nd and Kanishka Kesar and Upasana-3rd, in 57 kg: Sakshi-1st, Bhumika Dhar-2nd.
In 63kg: Mithili Kotwal-1st and Priya Sharma-2nd, in 70kg: Nirali Sharma-1st and Arohi Sharma-2nd, in 78kg: Anshika Sharma-1st, in plus 73 kg: Suhani Kiran-1st.
In boys 55kg: Eshan Saini-1st, Atul Sharma-2nd and Shahnawaz Manzoor & Sumit Lal-3rd, in 60kg: Rahul-1st, Bilal Ahmed-2nd and Mohit Kumar & Abid Hussain-3rd, in 66kg: Akshay Sharma-1st, Nixon-2nd and Priyanshu Badyal & Gian Singh-3rd, in 73kg: Aditya Kumar-1st, Ayush Jasrotra-2nd and Vishal Kumar & Sunny Thakur-3rd, in 81kg: Varun Sharma-1st, Arav Guppta-2nd and Shivanar Dogra-3rd, in 90kg: Diwakar Singh-1st and Tanmay Raina-2nd and in 100kg: Abijai Singh-1st.
