JAMMU, Aug 25: On the third day of the ongoing 14th J&K UT Shooting Championship 2025, young marksmen and markswomen showcased remarkable talent and composure, vying for top honours. The event is organized by the J&K Rifle Association under the aegis of the National Rifle Association of India and J&K Sports Council, in collaboration with IDPS.
Competitions are underway across three venues: IDPS Shooting Range Sunjwan, DYSS Gandhi Nagar and NCC Range Nagrota. Top scores in 10m Air Rifle (NR) included Loviya Parihar (APS Domana) and Maadvi Dabas (MOSAJ) with 385 each, followed by Monika Meenia (JKP Club) with 381.
In 10m Air Pistol (NR), Amit Kumar (MOSAJ) led with 375, while Amir Iqbal (J&K Police) and Deepak Sharma (MOSAJ) followed with 363. Jatin Mehra (MOSAJ) scored 361. Matches are being supervised by Sharat Chander Singh, with expert officiating by Rajesh Virdhi and his technical team.
