Dash Club lifts football tourney title

SRINAGAR, May 2: Dash Football Club registered win over Haider Blues by 3-2 goals via penalty shootout and lifted the title trophy of the under-14 football tournament, organized by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The tournament was organized by 53 Battalion of CRPF at Saint Joseph School Baramulla.
In the girls match between “A” team of Saint Joseph School and “B” team of Saint Joseph School, latter emerged winner by 4-goals in penalty shootout.
On the occasion, Javed Hassan Beg, MLA Baramulla was the chief guest, while guest of honour was Sayyed Tawqeer, Principal District Session Judge Baramulla. Deputy Commi-ssioner Baramulla Nisar Ahmad Naqash, SSP Baramulla Imtiaz Hussain Mir, Father Thomas Johnson and Commandant Vinay Kumar Tiwari were also present on the occasion.
“22 under-14 football teams of different schools from Baramulla participated in the tournament organized under Civic Action Programme. All unit officers and men also witnessed the final match. Participants showed their great enthusiasm, zeal and interest in civic action programme which was organized by 53 Battalion CRPF”, the spokesman of the CRPF said.
