Daring XI wins National Heritage Promotional Cricket Tourney

RS PURA, Aug 28: As part of Nation Building Awareness Campaign to strengthen the social bonds, communal harmony, peace tranquility and brotherhood, J & K Rural Sports Club celebrated Janamashtami as National Cultural Heritage Promotion Divas, here today.
In this connection, a daylong triangular exhibition cricket tournament was organized at Miran Sahib in R S Pura Jammu to disseminate the message at grass-root level through the medium of sports.
Daring XI won the tournament, while Young Stars Cricket Club emerged runners-up and Gobindpura Sizzlers bagged the 3rd places.
Narinder Singh, president of the Club and Capt Manjeet Singh (NIS) and Sports Officer MBSCET spoke on the occasion.
Daring XI led by Vismadh Singh in 1st match scored 88 runs in 10 overs which could not be chased by Gobindpura Sizzlers led by Prabhjyot Singh as they were all out for 86 in 9.1 overs, thus lost the match by 2 runs.
In the final match, Daring XI scored 85 runs in 10 overs, while Young Stars led by Tanveer Singh could score only 80 runs in a tough chase, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 5 runs.
