JAMMU, Oct 23: On the Second day of the ongoing Sports Fest-2019, being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at University Sports Stadium, Dangal was inaugurated by its Director Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, here.
A large number of Wrestlers in both men & women sections from the various colleges and University of Jammu participated in the event.
The final bouts of the Dangal will be held tomorrow in the valedictory function along with heavy weight bouts of the prominent Wrestlers of the State.
Volleyball (Men): GDC Udhampur beat GDC Poonch by 3-0 sets; GDC Kathua beat GDC Banihal by 3-0 sets, while in Volleyball (Women): GCW Parade drubbed GDC Mendhar by 2-0 sets and PG Department trounced GDC R.S Pura by 2-0 sets
Kabaddi (Men): GDC Khour outplayed GDC Kathua by 1 point and GDC Bhaderwah beat GDC Poonch by 5 points, while in Kabaddi (Women): GDC Hiranagar prevailed over GDC Ramnagar by 24 points and PG Department thrashed GCW Parade by 32 points
Kho-Kho (Men): GDC RS Pura beat GDC Samba by 4 points and GDC Kathua defeated GDC Udhampur by 1 innings and 8 points, while in Kho-Kho (Women), PG Department beat GCW Udhampur by 2 points and GDC Kathua got walkover against GCW Parade.
