JAMMU, Jan 18: D-Drama, under the expert guidance of Delight William Kler, conducted its Winter Theatre Production-Oriented Workshop at the Scottish Hall, Residency Road, Jammu. The workshop, aimed at children aged 10 to 16 years, culminated in an impressive performance that captivated the audience.
The participants showcased their creativity through an original play that delved into the complexities of a joint family, highlighting themes of conflict, egos, and eventual reconciliation. Set in Maharashtra, the play also emphasized the importance of family values and staying connected to one’s roots in contemporary society.
Delight William Kler, the workshop director, expressed her pride in the participants’ work, stating, “The children at D-Drama displayed exceptional understanding of character development and asked thought-provoking questions about the structure of families in contemporary Indian society.”
The event was graced by chief guest Priya Sethi, Senior BJP leader and Ex- Minister while guest of honour was Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG Jammu Range. Both dignitaries appreciated the performance and commended D-Drama for its contribution to theatre in Jammu. Priya Sethi encouraged parents to support their children’s involvement in theatrical arts, stressing its growing importance in today’s world.
The workshop provided a platform for the children to hone their skills, engage with meaningful narratives, and showcase their talent to an appreciative audience.
