Cycling for Health event on Apr 8

SRINAGAR, Mar 22: JK Mountain Biking Association in collaboration with Noora Hospital and Damna Adventures will organize Mountain Biking Expedition on April 8, 2018.
The Expedition will start from Noora Hospital, at HMT Srinagar and will finish at Sopora Town. The riders will cover more than 40 kms distance via Pattan.
More than 60 riders are expected to take part in the Expedition, which will be flagged off at 7 am sharp at Noora Hospital.
At the culmination of the event, prizes and certificates will be provided to the riders.
Manzoor Ahmad Wagay Managing Director, Noora Hospital said they want to be part of this initiative as part of their commitment to promote wellness and encourage healthy lifestyles in Kashmir.
The first session for ‘Cycle for Health’ will be all about ‘Love Your Heart’.
Highlighting the benefits of cycling, MD Noora Hospitals said this sports is a fun and healthy way to get the whole family involved in exercise to reduce the risk of chronic illnesses such as cardiovascular disease which is the leading cause of death in the World.
Hamid Aziz top ultra-marthon runner, 87 year old veteran cyclist Ghulam Rasool, International adventure racer Umer Nabi, Rasool Kawa UCI Level 1 coach, Riyaz Wani, Swimming and Mountain Biking expert and  Bashir Damna MD Damna Adventures will also take part in the Expedition.
