JAMMU, Mar 27: Cycle Rally under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav was organized on the directions of Director, Youth Services and Sports, J&K, Subhash Chander Chibber, here today.
The rally was organized under the Chairmanship of Sukhdev Raj Sharma, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Jammu and under the overall supervision of Zonal Physical Education Officer Jammu, Harvinder Kour, who flagged-off the rally from Hari Niwas Palace, here in the presence of the officials of Zone Jammu.
A total of 125 students from various schools participated enthusiastically. The rally covered a distance of 4.5 kilometers commencing from Hari Niwas to M.A Stadium, Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, ZPEO Jammu said that revival of cycling is the need of the hour as it is the best tool for physical fitness of youth.
The students were given refreshment after the event.
