JAMMU, Nov 4: Cueists were busy in sweating-it-out for the top honours in the State Senior Snooker Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here.
In the matches played today, Akshay Kumar defeated Gagandeep Singh (3-2) by 64-54, 40-56, 48-28, 69-26, 74-21; Abhishek Pathania thrashed Rahul Dutta (3-0) by 65-15, 48-20, 69-34; Abid Bhat drubbed Saed Bashir (3-0) by 49-23, 57-27, 47-37; Muddasir Ashiq beat Nasir Hassan (3-2) by 30-55, 76-36, 80-23, 40-41, 62-49; Sourav Dogra got better of Stanzin (3-1) by 39-47, 47-07, 62-33, 59-28; Kanav Nayyar got walkover against Abhi Gupta; Umar Himanyun trounced Sabby (3-1) by 54-48, 59-34, 47-73, 64-23; Mukesh Kapahi drubbed Sohail Khalid (3-2) by 52-17, 55-70, 55-50, 39-55, 88-55 and Nitin Sharma prevailed over Varun Sharma (3-1) by 38-46, 49-26, 54-38, 62-42.
