RAJOURI, Mar 15: A cricket tournament organised by J&K Police, concluded at Nowshera Stadium under its ‘Civic Action Program’, here today.
A total of eight teams from different areas of Nowshera participated in the tournament.
The final match was played between Friends Cricket Club Bagnoti and Nowshera Cricket Club in which the former emerged as the winner of the tournament.
SSP Rajouri Mohd Aslam as well as other dignitaries including Additional Superintendent of Police Nowshera, Amit Verma, Municipality Chairman, Principal GDC Nowshera, SDPO Nowshera Tausif Ahmed and SHO Nowshera Rajesh Jasrotia were present during the event.
The prizes were distributed among winner and runner-up teams along with the man of the match and man of the series and consolation prizes were also distributed to the participants of the tournament.
The SSP Rajouri mentioned that sport is the best means to eradicate social evils by channelizing the energy of youth.
