Co-chairman of Indian Mountaineering Foundation resigns from post

JAMMU, Dec 17: Co-chairman of Indian Mountaineering Foundation, North Zone Committee, Ram Khajuria has resigned from his post, ‘citing personal reasons’.
It was announced today by Khajuria in his letter sent to the President Indian Mountain-eering Foundation New Delhi.
“However, going by the deliberations he had with his trusted confidants and the nature of activities of Tawi Trekkers J&K, has been conducting for the last few years, it seems that he intends to focus more on adventure activities of his parent club,” said Shawetica Khajuria, general secretary of the Association.
It is pertinent to mention here that Ram Khajuria was founder president Mountaineering Association of J&K and has also served the Association as a general secretary for a long time. He had formed the Association in J&K nearly 38 year back in 1982.
