SRINAGAR, May 21: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has complimented Jagmohan, a physically challenged cricketer from Reasi district for his selection in the national cricket team of Physically challenged.
The Chief Minister has wished him well in his sporting activities ahead.
Minister for Sports, Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari has also extended congratulations to Jagmohan and wished him best of luck for performing well in Indo-Afghan Friendship Series to be held at International Stadium, Greater Noida from May 23, 2017.
It is pertinent to mention here that the team was selected by the panel of selectors including Rajesh Gill, former Ranji Trophy Player; Rajesh Dhar, senior State cricketer and Chairman Media Committee JKCA; Nitendra Singh, Director Cricket Operation PCCAI and Raj Kumar Bakshi, Cricket Coach, University of Jammu after a 3-day Coaching Camp cum Trial Matches, organized by Zonal Police Headquarter Jammu in collaboration with Physically Challenged Cricket Association of India (PCCAI), under the supervision of IGP Jammu, Dr SD Singh Jamwal at GGM Science College Hostel ground, Jammu.
Pertinently, the State Sports Council, of which Mehbooba Mufti is the chairperson, has launched a series of sporting initiatives and lent support for promotion of sports in the State.
