City Riders drubs Street Warriors by 6 wkts

AKHNOOR, Nov 13: City Riders defeated Street Warriors by 6 wickets in an easy contest to advance into the next round of the ongoing 7th Pawan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor at Govt Higher Secondary School ground, here.
Winning the toss and batting first, Street Warriors scored a modest total of 110 runs in 19.5. Arush was the top scorer with 24 runs, while Deepak Singh and Bunty contributed 14 and 10 runs to the total respectively. For City Riders, Ajay and Sanju took 3 wickets each, while Sandy took 2 and Ankit and Gautam claimed one each.
In reply, City Riders chased the target in 15 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Johny top scored with 41 runs, while Gautam contributed 25 runs to the total. For Street Warriors, Karan, Bhanu, Abey and Deepak claimed one wicket each. Johny was declared as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Sham Singh Langeh and Rajinder Singh as umpires, while Ashu was the scorer.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Rainawari Cricket Club Srinagar will take on Nagrota Cricket Club, while Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor will face Seven Stars.
