JAMMU, Dec 3: All J&K Sports and Cultural Welfare Association (AJSCWA) is going to organise 16th Edition of Christmas Gold Cup at GGM Science College Ground here, from December 5.
This was disclosed by Yudhvir Sethi, chairman of the Association and J&K BJP vice president while addressing media persons at Press Club Jammu in presence of other office bearers including SM Gill, president; Anil Masoom and others.
Yudhvir Sethi informed that about 22 teams are participating in this tournament such as J&K Bank XI, Loan Star and a team from Samba, Kathua, Udhampur and Poonch districts teams are also participating in the tournament, which will be held on knockout basis. The opening match will be played between Sainik Colony FC V/s Kathua FC on December 5 at GGM Science College Jammu. The final match is scheduled to be played on December 18, he added.
Sethi asserted that developing sports culture among the young minds is necessary for the overall development of one’s personality.
