Cherril Club lifts Ramban Football League title

JAMMU, Oct 19: Ramban Football League, conducted by Army at Banihal, concluded today.
This was the biggest sporting event of 2016 in Banihal area and was received with great enthusiasm by the local populace.
A total of 18 teams from different areas of Ramban District contested, out of which eight teams qualified to participate in the Football League. The qualified teams fought to win a place in the next coveted ‘Super 4’ stage of the tournament.
The final match was played between Kaskot Sports Club and Cherril Club at Lambar Football Ground. The match was witnessed by a large number of civil dignitaries, Army personnel and the locals of Banihal.
The final of Ramban Football League was won by Cherril Club by defeating Kaskot Sports Club by 4 -1.
The event was no less than a festive occasion in Banihal area where hundreds of spectators gathered to see their teams in action.
