Champion Club, Khalsa Club register wins in Hockey

JAMMU, Dec 23: Champion Club and Khalsa Club Gole Gujral scripted emphatic victories over their rivals to advance in the 1st Chaar Sahibzade Hockey Tournament, being played at KK Hakku Stadium, here.
The Tournament is being organised by Akali Kour Singh Sports Club under the aegis of hockey J&K.
In the first match, Champion Club defeated Singh Warriors Gole Gujral by three goals to nil (3-0).
In the second match, Khalsa Club Gole Gujral defeated MRS Simbal Camp by 6-5 goals viva penalty shootout.
In the first match S Tejinder Singh principal Sishu Mandir public school was the chief guest, while in the second match S. Rajinder Singh, General Secretary Hockey India was the chief guest.
The matches were officiated by Joginder Singh, Angad Singh, Ravneet Singh, Balmeet Singh, Navjot Singh and Gagandeep Singh.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Peaks XI will take on Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Club Poonch.
