JAMMU, June 23: Cantt Cricket Club (CCC) and Bleed Blue Cricket Club (BBCC) trounced their opponents and advanced into next round of the ongoing Ist Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Gold Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament, being played at Cantt Ground, Satwari here.
In the first match, CCC registered 36 runs win over Gandhi Nagar Cricket Club (GNCC) and entered into next stage.
Batting first, CCC scored 186 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Vijay Dogra smashed some crispy shots and scored 73 runs.
In reply, GNCC failed to chase the target and scored 150 runs by losing all wickets in allotted 20 overs. Rahul Gorkha was the top scorer with 29 runs, whereas Raja made 27 runs.
From CCC side, Vijay Dogra was the wrecker-in-chief with 3 wickets. He was awarded with man of the match title for his all round performance.
In the second match, Bleed Blue Cricket Club (BBCC) registered 7 wickets win over Bhatia Cricket Academy (BCA) and sailed into next round of the tournament.
Batting first, BBCC made 183 runs in 20 overs. Vivek played splendid inning of 63 runs in just 30 balls.
From BCA side, Sanchit scalped 3 wickets.
In reply, BCA failed to chase the target and bundled out at 176 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. Rahul and Akash made 44 runs each.
For BBCC side, Anshul bowled superb and took 3 wickets.
Vivek of BBCC was adjudged as man of the match.
The tournament is being organised by Youth National Conference Gandhi Nagar.
