JAMMU, Oct 16; CBSE Cluster XVIII Kho-Kho Tournament 2019-20 concluded at MV International School, here today. Shakti Kumar Pathak, SSP Samba was the chief guest on the closing ceremony of the Tournament.
Zahoor Choudhary, Additional Provident Fund Commissioner, Samba; Navtaran Taneja, SDPO Vijaypur and S. Dalbir Singh, retired Principal graced the occasion as the special guests.
BS Tirthi, National Coach for Kho-Kho was the CBSE Observer for the matches. Chairman of School, Hira Lal Abrol, Director Gourav Abrol and Principal Kundan Lal Dogra were also present on the occasion.
200 players (boys and girls) drawn from CBSE schools of Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir & Haryana participated in this event in Under-17 and Under-19 categories.
The 1st positions were bagged by Kamla Nehru Public School (U-17 Boys), St Solider Elite Convent School (U-17 Girls), Shifaly International School (U-19 Boys) and Aadesh International School (U-19 Girls), The 2nd positions were won by Shree Guru Hari Krishan Public School (U-17 Boys), Shree Guru Hari Krishan Public School (U-17 Girls), Vishisht Bharti Public School (U-19 Boys), Vishisht Bharti Public School (U-19 Girls) and the 3rd positions were claimed by St. Solider Divine Convent School, Amritsar (U-17 Boys), St Solider Divine Convent School, Jullundhar (U-17 Girls), MV International School (U-19 Boys) and St Soldier Divine Convent School (U-19 Girls).
The best players of the tournament were: U-19 Boys- Aditya of Shifaly International School, U-19 Girls – Simranjeet Kaur of Aadesh International School, U-17 Boys- Arshvir of Shree Guru Hari Krishan Public School & U-17 Girls- Lovleen Kaur of Shree Guru Hari Krishan Public School.
The chief guest and other dignitaries felicitated the winners on the occasion.
