JAMMU, Apr 5: Keeping alive the traditions of excellence and awarding the achievers who excelled in academics, co-scholastic, sports and other activities held during the session 2018-19, Carmel organised the Annual Academic Excellence Award Ceremony amidst much joy, cheer and applause here today.
Dr Nitasha Ghai graced the occasion as the chief guest, who was accorded a warm welcome by the School Manager Rev Fr. Shaiju Chacko and Principal Sr Maria Swati A.C.
The Programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest followed by a prayer service to invoke the blessings of the Almighty.
Students presented a variety of cultural items. The main attraction was a mesmerising dance performance by the senior students on the song ‘Aashaien’.
The chief guest gave away the certificates and rewarded founded prizes to the meritorious students for their academic excellence.
The School Manager, Rev. Fr. Shaiju Chacko felicitated the Carmelites who excelled in co-scholastic activities. Principal distributed medals and certificates among the students who exalted in Abacus, Vedic Maths, Sports (State & National Level) and Quiz competitions throughout the previous year.
The chief guest applauded the efforts of the prize winners and encouraged them to follow their ambitions.
Annual school report of the year 2018-19, was presented by the Coordinator Harpreet Kour.
The grand spectacle came to a close with the school song.
