JAMMU, Oct 13: CAREER ABACUS, a leading Abacus Teaching Institution organized Prize Distribution Ceremony of the State Level Competition (CAREER ABACUS CHAMP-2012) in the Auditorium of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The aim of the competition was to bring forth the talent of the students undergoing Abacus Training.
The function started with lightening of the traditional lamp by the chief guest J P Singh, DIG, J&K Police Jammu followed by the welcome address.
Dr Kiran Bakshi, Dr Jyoti Kumar Mahajan, Dr Rakesh Gupta and Aruna Narula were the guests of honour.
The main attraction of the function was that it was all handled by the little students of the Institute from the welcome speech till the end of the function. In the middle of the function a demo of calculations was conducted by the small kids.
Everyone present in the function was amazed to see the speed accuracy of the children. Chief course Instructor of the Institute Mamta Anand briefed the audience about abacus and its benefits.
The function ended with a vote of thanks by the Director of the Institute, Mr. Arvind Sharma.

Champion of Champions (Senior) award was bagged by Mitashini Koul of K.V. No. 1
