JAMMU, Oct 12: In the final of Inter School Indoor Cricket Tournament played here at KC Sports Club, BSF School registered an easy win over Anuradha Public School (APS).
Batting first, BSF were able to score only 98 runs. However, despite an easy target, the APS team crumbled like the proverbial nine pins and ended up losing to BSF with the negative score of -19 runs.
At the end of the first day’s matches, APS qualified for the finals from their respective pool. However, the second semi final match between BSF School and DPS was played this morning in which BSF routed DPS by 99 runs. Batting first, BSF put on board an impressive score of 139 runs and dismissed DPS for 41 runs to reach the finals.
The matches were played inside the spacious 15000 square feet indoor cricket hall of the Club. Six schools of Jammu, namely, Delhi Public School, BSF School, APS, GD Goenka School, KC Gurukul School and St Xavier’s School took part in the contest.
In the simple concluding ceremony, Siddhant Chowdhary, Managing Partner of KC Sports Club and Arjun Chowdhary, MD of the KC Sports Club gave away the champions trophy to the victorious team of BSF School and Runner-up trophy to the team of APS.
