Brilliant Paras, sensational Yudhveer guide Sehwag Academy to big win

JAMMU, May 31: Skipper Paras Sharma scored magnificent 83 runs off 63 balls, studded with 5 fours and 3 sixes, while sensational Yudhveer Singh took 3 important wickets and scored power-packed 8-ball 27 runs to guide Sehwag Cricket Academy to a big win by 164 runs over Patel Cricket Club in the ongoing JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, under the patronage of its Administrators Justice CK Prasad and Justice Riffat Alam, under the chairmanship of CEO JKCA AH Bukhari and overall supervision of retired Judge Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Sehwag Cricket Academy rode on a brilliant innings by Paras to score a good total of 255 runs in the stipulated 30 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Sandeep Singh (35 off 35 balls) with 4 boundaries, Yudveer Singh (27 off 8 balls), studded with 2 fours and 3 sixes and Rohan Koul (26 off 16 balls), including 4 fours were the other major contributors. Tayab Farooq took 3 wickets from Patel Cricket Club, while Avishek Charak and Raghav claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Patel Cricket Club bundled out for 91 runs in 24.5 overs, thus lost the match by a hyge margin of 164 runs. Tayab Farooq, Shantanu and Abhinav Puri contributed 17, 15 and 13 runs to the total respectively. Yudveer was the pick of the bowlers for Sehwag Cricket Academy, scalping 3 wickets by conceding 9 runs in his 5 overs, while Gourav claimed 2 wickets. Paras Sharma of Sehwag Cricket Academy was declared as the man of the match for his brilliant batting display.
The match was officiated by Ashok Singh and Rahul Kumar as umpires, while Saleem-ur-Rehman was the scorer.
