JAMMU, Oct 24: Talented Jagandeep Singh played a marathon innings of 177 runs, studded with 18 delectable boundaries and 14 towering sixes to help Stadium XI thrash Sidhant Cricket Academy by a huge margin of 241 runs in the ongoing Col RN Chopra Under-16 boys Challenge Cup, being held at Academy Grounds, here.
Batting first, Stadium XI scored 329 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Jagandeep scored 177 off 83 balls, while Sant Baksh scored valuable 51 runs. Vivrant and Tayyab also contributed 24 and 19 runs to the total respectively. For Sidhant Academy, Rohit and Avneet claimed 2 wickets each.
Sidhant Academy, in reply bundled out for a paltry total of 88 runs with Prabjot and Akshay contributing 17 and 13 runs to the total respectively. Vivrant was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 wickets, while Tayyab bagged 3 and Sant Baksh 2. Jagandeep Singh was adjudged man of the match for his extraordinary century.
