RAJOURI, Nov 14: The Indian Army launched the Brig Usman Premier League (BUPL) 2025-26 under Operation Sadbhavana, aimed at promoting sportsmanship, peace and community engagement in the border areas. The Nowshera Brigade is organizing the tournament, featuring 16 teams from local villages and cricket clubs along the Line of Control (LoC).
The league provides a platform for young cricket enthusiasts to showcase their talent, compete with zeal, and win attractive trophies, cash prizes, and special awards for outstanding performances. More than a sporting event, BUPL strengthens the bond between the Army and border communities, encouraging youth participation in constructive activities and fostering unity and harmony.
The tournament is scheduled to commence on 1st December 2025 at Naushera Sports Stadium, with senior military and civil dignitaries expected to grace the opening ceremony. The Indian Army invited local residents to support their teams and join in the celebration of talent, teamwork, and national spirit.
