UDHAMPUR, Mar 13: District Boxing Championship, organized by J&K Amateur Boxing Association under the aegis of J&K Olympic Association and sponsored by Sports Council, concluded here today.
The tournament was organised under the supervision of Sandeep Singh Chib, DYSS, Rajneesh Kumar and Pardeep Sharma.
The medals and certificates were distributed among the players by DySP Swarn Singh and former football coach, Vishwamiter.
In sub junior boys (34 kg), Shahid and Ankit won gold and silver, while Avanish Sharma and Saksham shared Gotra bronze medal, while in 38 kg, Rahul Kumar and Jeet Kumar clinched gold and silver and in 42 kg, Ankush Gaur and Aditya Sharma bagged two top medals, while Paramveer and Arun Kumar shared bronze, besides in junior 52 kg, first two medals were secured by Virinder Kumar andVarun Dev Singh, while in 46 kg Paranav Chowdhary (Gold), Vasu Sharma (Silver) and Amit Chowdhury (Bronze) and in 63 kg, Deepak Singh (Gold) and Manjeet Singh (Silver).
In 67 kg, Yashvardhan (Gold) and Daksh Dwivedi (Silver), while in youth 48 kg, Gold and Silver were secured by Arman Sharma and Rahul Kumar and in 51kg, Aniket Jamwal (Gold), Arun Singh (Silver), Rakesh Singh (Bronze) and Sahil Bali (Bronze), besides in 52 kg, Arun Singh (Gold) and Sahil Bali (Silver), while in sub junior 40 kg, Shivali Devi (Gold), Priya Katoch (Silver) and Samriti Chawdhary (Bronze), while in 48 kg, Kiran Katoch (Gold) and Siya Manhas (Silver) and in 57 kg, Simran Bali (Gold) Srahana (Silver) and Tanish Katoch (Bronze), moreover, in youth boys 57 kg, Purvinder Singh (Gold), Aquib Ali (Silver), Sahil Sharma (Bronze) and Vijay Singh (Bronze), while in seniors men (Elite men) 48 kg, Aman Sharma (Gold), Akashay Sharma (Silver) and Sahil Singh (Bronze) and in 51 kg, Akashdeep Singh (Gold), Rahav Sharma (Silver) and Ashok Kumar (Bronze).
In 54 kg, Ankush (Gold), Ajay Kumar (Silver) and Papu Kumar (Bronze), while in 63 kg, Anzar (Gold), Hartik (Silver) and Rikhil Goswami (Bronze), while in 76 kg, Ankush Sharma (Gold) and Rahul Sharma (Silver) and in seniors women 48 kg, Preeti Devi (Gold) and Shriya Sharma (Silver), besides in 57 kg, Avantika Devi Bali (Gold) and Nirmala Devi (Silver).
