JAMMU, Mar 11: Defeating Pintoo Junior Club Akhnoor by two sets to one (2-1) in the summit clash, the Border Lions Volleyball Club Pallanwalla lifted the title trophy of the Sub-Divisional Level Volleyball Tournament at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor today.
In a close contest, Border Lions Club won the first set, however, Pinto Junior Club won the second set to stage a comeback. Finally, Border Lions Club claimed the title by (2-1) after winning the third set convincingly.
Rajeev Sharma MLA Akhnoor was the chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking urged the youth to participate in the sports activities with enthusiasm and fervour.
The tournament was organized by Naresh Singh, SDPO Akhnoor as part of the Civic Action Programme of J&K Police, under the supervision of Uttam Chand, SSP Jammu.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Chandan Kohli, while Naresh Singh presented vote of thanks.
