JAMMU, Mar 31: To make the masses aware about the ill effect of drugs and to promote the traditional culture of J&K, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan in close coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production presented its 254th series musical play on the theme of “Drug Abuse” namely ‘Nashe Kola Bacho’ at Open Air Theatre Durga Bhawan Janipur, here today.
The program was inaugurated by the chief guest, VK Magotra, Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India.
Among the guests of Honour present were Dr Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Health Department J&K Government, Dr Anju Kumari Dogra, Directorate of Health J&K Government Dr Anupriya Sharma, President Medical Cell J&K State.
Specially prepared on the theme “Nasha Nai Kario Munde Kureio” , ” Bacho Bacho Tobacco Kola Bacho”, ” Nai Pee Shraban”, “Bari Kharab Chutki ” , “Nahin Piya Tobacco Balma” , Nukkad, Skits ,Songs and Dances were presented on the occasion.
The chief guest highlighted the dangers of drug use and their illegal trade.
Earlier, welcome speech was given by ML Dogra, Chairman, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) who appealed to the audience especially children to be the eyes and ears of the nation and pledged to put maximum efforts to make J&K State free from drug menace.
MC Kotwal, General Secretary BLSKS highlighted the achievements of the Sansthan.
The singers, musicians, actors and students of Music and Computer Institute who performed in the musical play were Usha Handoo, Raju Bajgal, Rajni Gupta, Zulekha Farid, Kuldeep Raj, Dhruv Pandit, Chahat Chadha, Deevam Jandiyal, Rakshit Sharma, Renu Saproo, Priya Sharma, Heena Khan, Ujwal Sharma, Vansh Raina, Sanvi Raina, Balblu Kumar, Bhoomika Chib, Neelam Chib, Megha Raina, Preeti Parihar, Sawan Kaul, Asha Koul, Geetanjali Parihar, Rudra Parihar, Devansh and Adhiraj.
Master Deepak Kumar presented the vote of thanks.
