JAMMU, June 27: Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in coordination with Sangam Tru Art Production organized a musical concert today at Janipur on the theme ‘Better Knowledge for Better Care’
The concert was organized to promote effective measures to protect masses like adolescents from getting exploited by the menace of drug addiction and enable them to adopt safe and rational use of drugs by way of generating awareness through effective information and communication technologies.
The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest, Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director Health Department.
Among the guests of honour were V.K Magotra, former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity; Dr. Anju Kumari Dogra, Registrar SMGS Hospital and R.P Amla, Director of the Concert.
Specially prepared items for the day were ‘Nasha Nai Kario Munde Kureio’, ‘Bacho Bacho Tobacoo Kola Bacho’, ‘Nai Pee Shraban’ etc.
In addition to this, artists of BLSKS also presented songs on COVID-19 like ‘Corona Cha Bachoo’, ‘Jan Jan Mada Corona Rog Jan’ etc.
Earlier the welcome address was delivered by M L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS.
The singers, musicians, actors and students who participated in the musical concert were Usha Handoo, Rajni Gupta, Raju Bajgal, Bindia Arora, Nisha Okheda, Mukesh Arora, Mohd Afroz and others.
