JAMMU, Mar 27: BLSKS in coordination with Unison Cultural Troupe/ESRM Cultural Academy Jammu celebrated 9th Foundation Day at Open Air Theatre, Durga Bhawan, Janipur with funfair, here today.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shantmanu inaugurated the programme with lighting of the traditional lamp alongwith a galaxy of distinguished guests.
Ajeet Sahu District Development Commissioner, Jammu and Kuldeep Khajuria, vice chairman JDA were present on the occasion.
The chief guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making the cultural Programme colourful, effective and result oriented.
Renowned artists of the State namely, K L Verma, Darmesh Lakhotra, Iqbal Koul, Usha Handoo, Raju Bajgal, Neeraj Verma and Vijay Malla writer, producer and director of the theatre.
Arunima Sinha, general manager Training Art and Living enthralled the audience by singing a melodious Bhajan on the occasion.
Earlier, welcoming the audience, V K Magotra, Managing Director and M L Dogra, chairman and Vijay Malla, Director Ek Sath Rang Mandal threw light on the aims and objectives of the Programme.
The chief guest honoured the renowned artists Neeraj Verma, Darmash and Vijay Malla for their outstanding contribution in the field of art and culture.
The chief guest and the guests of honour were presented mementoes and books written by M L Dogra on the occasion.
Ramesh Chander, president Cultural Unison Troupe presented vote of thanks.
The other artists participated in the programme were Deepak Kumar Dogra, Raj Kumar Lakhnotra, Neelam Gandotra, Avtar Kour, Santosh Bandral, Muskan Koul, Kamli Devi, Dr Aman (GMC), Zulakha Farid, Shivani Disgotra, Rajni Gupta Hemraj, M C Kotwal, Sunil Kumar, Sooraj Sharma and Kuldeep Raj.
