JAMMU, Nov 24: Two days Block Level Tournament in the disciplines of volleyball, kabaddi and shot put organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Kathua commenced on the theme “No Drugs, No Rash Driving”, at Government Middle School Chappar block Hiranagar.
A total of 10 teams in Kabbaddi and 14 teams in Volleyball are participating in the tournament.
Seven matches in Volleyball and 5 matches in Kabaddi were played today.
Many people from the adjoining villages witnessed the interesting matches. Prominent among those who were present were Mohan Lal, Retd Tehsildar, Dayanand, Retd Physical Teacher, Ashok Kumar Headmaster GMS Chappar, Sushil Sharma, Building Officer, Madan Lal, Ramlal Sharma, Mohinder Sharma, Shanti Saroop and Keshav Sharma.
The matches were officiated by Mohinder Sharma, Prince Mehta, Deepak and Arjun.
NYV volunteers Gourav Sharma, Kushal Kumar, Amit Singh, Parveen Sharma and Ravinder Sharma were also present on the occasion.
