UDHAMPUR, Dec 20: As part of the 81st Air Force Day celebrations, a bicycle expedition to Wagah Border was successfully organized by Air Force Station Udhampur.
The expedition took off to a colourful start and flagging off by Gp Capt DP Hirani, Station Commander, Udhampur in presence of senior officers and other personnel of the Air Force Station.
The team comprising of 15 personnel was led by Fg Officer, Vaibhav Sharma, passed through Jammu, Pathankot, Jalandhar and finally reached Amritsar Wagah Border, covering a total distance of 318 kilometers.
During their travel, the team members interacted and motivated with the School and College students of J&K and Punjab en-route to join Air Force for a glorious and adventurous career.
The team distributed material related to career in Air Force to the students.
The team also projected the vibrant image of Indian Air Force besides fostering a sense of ‘Espirit-de-Corps’ among men/women in blue.
After completing the expedition successfully, the team came back to Air Force Station today and was received by Station Commander and other personnel of the Station.
