Bhalessa XI lifts title of Gandoh Valley Cricket League

DODA, Oct 30: Bhalessa XI lifted Gandoh Valley Cricket League title defeating Royal Bhalessa by 4 wickets, organised by Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana at Helipad Ground Gandoh, here today.
About 64 teams from five blocks of Bhalessa participated in the League which was organised on knockout basis.
Batting first, Royal Bhalessa scored 165 by losing 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, while the opponent team achieved the target by losing only 6 wickets in 16.3 overs and registered 4 wickets win.
Anwar made highest 37 runs, while Kesar scored 35 runs for Royal Bhalessa. From the bowling side, Aqib took 3wickets and Mohammad Arif clinched 2 wickets.
Mudassar Sheikh made 46 runs and Niseer scored 30 runs for Bhalessa XI. From the bowling side, Bhellessa Mubarak was the wrecker-in-chief who took four wickets.
The function was graced by BDC Gandoh Mohd Hanief, SDM Dr PL Thapa, SDPO Shehzada Kabir Mattoo SHO Gandoh Vikerm Singh, JE Agriculture Surjeet Singh Manhas, Range Office Bhalessa Suresh Singh Jamwal and Rafi Choudhary along with other dignitaries.
The winners and runners up teams were awarded with certificates and trophies along with cash prizes.
