Benia lifts 109th Annual Bani Kesari Dangal Title

JAMMU, June 19: Wrestler Benia of J&K Police crushed Sukha of Punjab and lifted the “109th Annual Bani Kesari Dangal Title”, organised by Manwal Dangal Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
On the occasion, Shiv Kumar Sharma, president, Indian style wrestling association was the chief guest, who presented Rs 12,000 cash and Gurj (gadda) to the winner and Rs 8,000 to the runner-up in presence of Treasurer, J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association PR Sharma, DySP Dr G Mustaba, BJP leader Nand Kishore Sharma, Social Welfare Officer Yash Paul Sharma, Virender Kumar Sharma, Naresh Kumar and others.
The second main bout was played between Sagar of Delhi and Manni of Mallerkotla in Punjab remained undecided and both wrestlers were given Rs 10,000 each. The third bout went to Vikas of Khanna, who crushed Bagga of Mallerkotla, whereas the fourth bout was won by Pankaj Raina of Delhi who defeated Soffian of Mujjafar Nagar, UP.
Sandeep of Sonipat defeated Ranjeet of Ludhiana in the fifth bout, whereas, the sixth bout was claimed by Tinku of Ludhiana, who defeated Parveen of Khanna.
Sat Paul of Khanna defeated Bobari of Sarore Jammu in the seventh bout.

In the competition, wrestlers hailing from Jammu, Udhampur, Doda, Reasi, Kathua, J&K Police, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and UP participated.
