Below-par Pakistan crushed out of WWC

Cuttack, Feb 5:
Another hapless batting performance evicted Pakistan from Women World Cup as they lost their must-win league encounter in Group B, against South Africa by 126 runs at the Barabati stadium here today.
South Africa will now join Australia and New Zealand into the Super Six from this group.
Pakistani bowlers put up a decent show to restrict the South Africans to 207/5, but their batting came a cropper again as their pursuit ended at 81.
Continuing the trend of failing to give the side a good start, the openers went back in the hut cheaply.
The green brigade tried a new pair Rabiya Shah and Qanita Jalil, but the move failed to reverse the fortune of the team.
Marizanne Kapp, who earlier struck an unbeaten 102 to take South Africa to a respectable score, shone with the ball as well. (PTI)
